Adidas sees strong growth driven by demand for apparel

Adidas expects sales in Europe to rebound strongly in the final quarter of 2026 after robust growth in other markets helped the company raise its full-year outlook.
The German sportswear giant reported strong results for the first nine months of the year, including a record third quarter, but sales in its home market of Europe fell by 4% in the July-to-September period.
By contrast, sales in other regional markets recorded double-digit percentage growth.
The company expects sales in Europe to grow by a high-single-digit percentage in the fourth quarter, partly due to accounting effects.
In the first nine months of 2026, Adidas increased sales by 10% to €20.58 billion ($22.8 billion), while net profit from continuing operations rose by €300 million to €1.59 billion.
Growth was driven more by apparel than footwear, with strong demand for new clothing collections boosting the company's lifestyle business.
Adidas now expects full-year operating profit, or earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT), to reach €2.5 billion, including a €200 million refund of US tariffs.
