Bayer Leverkusen's Spanish player Lucas Vázquez has dedicated his goal in the German Cup second-round win over Nuremberg to the victims of a major rail crash in Spain.

Spanish football bosses postponed all Cup games on Wednesday after at least 68 people died in the accident near Urda, around 130 kilometres south of Madrid.

It was left to a Spaniard playing in Germany to use his late goal in the 5-2 win to remember the victims.

"They are for you. This victory and this goal are for the victims and their families. All my love after a day which hurts Spaniards so much," the former Real Madrid player wrote on Instagram.
