Klopp to name Germany's Nations League squad on November 5

Germany coach Jürgen Klopp will name his squad for Nations League matches against Serbia and the Netherlands on November 5, the German Football Federation said on Wednesday.

Klopp, who replaced Julian Nagelsmann after this year's World Cup, named a two-part 44-player squad for the first Nations League matches in September and October. However, he's not expected to do the same for the matches next month.

Germany visit Serbia on November 13 and welcome the Netherlands in Berlin three days later.

One of the biggest questions ahead of the squad nomination is whether Werder Bremen striker Niclas Füllkrug will return to the national team.

Füllkrug was part of the Euro 2024 squad, but was dropped from the team due to a series of injuries and his last international appearance was in June 2025. But the striker returned to Bremen this season and is in top form, with 11 goals in nine matches.

However, Klopp hinted that he prefers to rely on younger players: "Niclas Füllkrug has been scoring one goal after the other, but he's 33," the coach said recently.

Germany are third in their Nations League Group A2, three points behind leaders Netherlands.
