St Pauli received around 4,000 suggestions of songs as the club try to find a new stadium anthem, they said in a statement on Monday.
Of the around 4,000 recommendations, some 400 were created especially for the occasion.
Among the proposed and already released songs are "You'll Never Walk Alone" by Gerry & The Pacemakers, which is famously used by Liverpool, and "Diamonds" by Rihanna.
Among the unreleased songs are tracks with titles such as "Es ist geil auf St Pauli" ("It's awesome in St. Pauli").
The club narrowed the list and fans are now invited to vote and select 25 songs for the next round.
For 20 years, "Daz Herz von St Pauli" ("The Heart of St. Pauli") has been the club's stadium anthem. However, after the lyricist's links to the Nazi regime came to light, the club decided to stop playing the song.
In a poll, around 86% of the more than 10,000 participants voted in favour of a new stadium anthem.
