Demichelis wants Leipzig to build on Frankfurt win against PSV

RB Leipzig coach Martín Demichelis doesn't want to be deceived by the 6-0 Bundesliga win against Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday ahead of the Champions League clash against PSV.

For Tuesday's match, he expects an opponent of a different calibre.

"Both teams have the same goals. PSV plays very attractive football, the same philosophy as we do. We're coming off a good performance and need to build on it with plenty of energy and conviction," Demichelis said in a news conference on Monday.

"We pressed very well against Frankfurt, and that's exactly the sort of intensity we want to see tomorrow. It will be an exciting game. Both teams want to have the ball and put each other under pressure early on."

After a disastrous Champions League start with a 4-1 defeat to Como, Leipzig are under pressure for a better performance in the second league phase match.

"We're taking it one step at a time. Our focus is solely on the next challenge and on securing the three points," the coach said.
