German unemployment agency IT outage fixed after days of disruption

The technical outage at Germany's Federal Employment Agency has been resolved, with online services restored since Saturday evening, the agency said on Sunday.

"Our IT colleagues are continuing to monitor the system closely. A hacker attack can be ruled out entirely," the agency said.

The outage had caused the unemployment registration service and other online services to be temporarily unavailable.

"We will ensure that there are no disadvantages for customers who were unable to submit notifications through our online systems over the past few days due to the IT outage," the agency said.
