Oasis still welcome at Munich hotel despite infamous 2002 brawl

Oasis stars Liam and Noel Gallagher remain welcome at Munich's luxury Bayerischer Hof hotel despite a notorious brawl involving Liam more than two decades ago, the hotel has said.
"Of course, the brothers are always welcome here," a hotel spokesman told dpa after the band announced new concert dates in Munich.
"Even after the incident at the time, our doors were always open to the brothers."
The incident dates back to the night of December 1, 2002, when Liam Gallagher and two bandmates were arrested after a violent altercation in Munich. Noel Gallagher was not involved.
Liam spent the night in custody.
Hotel manager Innegrit Volkhardt later said Oasis had not been solely to blame and that the hotel would welcome them back.
That opportunity could now arise next year, with Oasis due to perform at Munich's Allianz Arena on July 2 and 3, 2027.
The shows will mark the band's first appearances in Germany since 2009.
