Zverev doesn't confirm Davis Cup participation at the weekend

After winning the US Open title, Alexander Zverev left open whether he will play with Germany in the Davis Cup at the weekend.

"I really, really would like to play in the Davis Cup. Everyone around me is trying to talk me out of it," the German said after clinching the second Grand Slam of his career on Sunday.

"But I will decide that tomorrow," he added.

Germany face Croatia on Saturday and Sunday. However, team captain Michael Kohlmann said before the US Open that they would have to wait and see if Zverev would make it to the final.

Zverev won the US Open after beating Ben Shelton 6-3, 7-6 (7-2), 5-7, 6-2. Earlier this year, the German won the French Open.
