Bayern's Musiala seems to be back on track

Bayern Munich midfielder Jamal Musiala celebrated his comeback to the starting line-up with a goal following a difficult period.
"I haven't felt the way I did today in quite a while," the football player said after the 5-0 win against Bodø/Glimt in their Champions League opener. "I was really happy about the goal."
Musiala suffered a heavy injury at the Club World Cup last year, but despite his return, he still dealt with several setbacks and fitness issues.
Before the new season, Musiala also revealed that he has been diagnosed with absence seizures.
He collapsed due to the condition in two friendlies. The club later explained that he had made adjustments to his medication and that's why the episodes became visible.
Bayern had been aware of the situation for a while, but Musiala only publicly disclosed the diagnosis after the incidents during the matches.
This season, he missed the Franz Beckenbauer Super Cup, the Bundesliga opener against VfB Stuttgart and the German Cup first round against VfL Osnabrück. His first game was the goalless draw at Schalke last weekend, in which he came from the bench as a substitute.
"I'm glad to be back in the rhythm now. I've had a lot of support from the club, the coaches and my team-mates. I want to enjoy tonight," he said.
"I just want to get back to my best and feel physically good. The issue is nothing new for me. I want to gradually get that light feeling back on the pitch and reach my level."
"I know there's still a way to go but the joy of being on the pitch with the team is the best feeling."
Coach Vincent Kompany stressed how the goal was a "really important" one for Musiala and that he hopes that the focus now goes fully back to his performance.
"I think I was just as happy as the people here in the stadium and probably many more in front of the television. We've known this moment would come but you can't explain it beforehand - it just has to come together," he said.
Kompany said that the club will support Musiala or any other player when things get difficult and that he doesn't have any concerns in the long run over the midfielder's performance.
"The goal and those 60 minutes were important for him. He's getting into his rhythm more and more, which is another reason why it was a successful night for us," he said.
