Five injured after unknown substance sprayed in German nightclub

Five people have been injured after a substance was sprayed in a nightclub in the northern German state of Lower Saxony on Sunday.
Police said a large-scale operation was under way at the nightclub in Lintig.
The unknown substance was sprayed in the nightclub where several hundred people were in the early hours of Sunday, police said.
Several patrons experienced respiratory issues and dizziness, with some losing consciousness, police said in a statement. Numerous people were treated by emergency services.
A 19-year-old had been taken into custody, police added.
