The German airline Eurowings plans to resume flights to the Arab emirate of Dubai, after a war-related break of almost eight months, it announced on Wednesday.
The routes were suspended following the joint US-Israeli attack on Iran at the end of February. The Iranians have also struck targets in the Emirates during the conflict.
Direct flights from Berlin, Stuttgart and Cologne/Bonn are set to resume with the start of the winter flight schedule on October 25, the Lufthansa subsidiary said in a statement.
It also announced that from December 1, new premium business seats will be bookable on all Dubai flights. For the first time on short- and medium-haul routes, there will be just four separate seats per row.
Eurowings is extending this concept to all eight aircraft in its Airbus A320neo fleet, meaning the new seats will also be available on selected routes to London, Mallorca and Málaga.
