Reports: Leipzig reject €100m offer from Real Madrid for Diomande

Real Madrid have joined the race for Yan Diomande but his club RB Leipzig have reportedly turned down a first offer of up to €100 million ($114 million) from the Spanish top side for the Ivorian teenager.

The Athletic reported that talks are continuing although Leipzig did not consider the Real offer of €90 million plus €10 million in add-ons good enough.

Leipzig had previously rejected a similar offer from England's Liverpool. According to the Bild paper they want at least €120 million to consider letting the winger go this summer.

Diomande, 19, came to Leipzig a year ago for €20 million from Spanish club Leganés on a contract until 2030 without a release clause. He scored 12 goals and had nine assists in the past Bundesliga season and also made an impression at the recent World Cup.

Leipzig want to keep Diomande for at least one more year and are said to be ready to improve his contract. They finished third last season and will play in the Champions League.

Diomande has said he expects to leave and he has allegedly agreed personal terms with Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain.
