German cross-country skier Victoria Carl is set to be reintegrated into the team in the upcoming World Cup once her doping ban expires.
The German Ski Association (DSV) said on Instagram on Tuesday, "Under the applicable regulations, a return to training is possible from the end of September and a return to competition from the end of November."
The 30-year-old tested positive for the banned substance clenbuterol during an out-of-competition test in the second quarter of 2025.
The medication is primarily used to treat respiratory illnesses such as asthma.
According to German anti-doping body NADA, the one-and-a-half-year suspension runs until November 25.
Carl missed February's Winter Games in Italy having won gold in the team sprint four years earlier in Beijing.
