No fuel shortages in Germany, says ministry

There are no fuel shortages in Germany despite ongoing tensions in the Strait of Hormuz, the Economy Ministry in Berlin said on Friday. 

This applied to kerosene used in aviation as well as other crude oil and petroleum products in Europe overall, according to a spokesman, stressing that refineries are continuing to produce.

However, the situation is being monitored and discussions are taking place with representatives from the refinery, gas and oil sectors, the petroleum industry and the aviation sector, he added.
