Young man dies after dispute involving knife in Berlin

A young man was fatally injured in an altercation in Berlin on Thursday evening, police said.

A dispute involving at least two people ended with a stabbing, a police spokesman said, adding that one person had been arrested.

The exact sequence of events and the background to the incident are under investigation by the homicide squad, police said.

According to police, the incident took place at about 8:15 pm (1815 GMT) outside a building housing flats and a row of shops in Berlin's Wedding district.
