Cologne fought back from a 2-0 deficit to claim a 2-2 draw at Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga on Easter Sunday.

Frankfurt broke the deadlock in the 66th after Fares Chaibe did most of the work, leaving two defenders behind before laying a low cross to Jonathan Burkardt, who rolled the ball into the empty net.

Arnaud Kalimuendo doubled their lead three minutes later, but Cologne hit back immediately, recovering the ball in midfield and pulling one back through Jakub Kaminski in the 70th.

The guests were level in the 83rd, again after regaining the ball in midfield and this time with Alessio Castro-Montes nodding it home.

Frankfurt are seventh and good 10 points away from the European spots, while Cologne are 15th and just two points from the relegation zone.

Union Berlin and St Pauli also shared the points in a 1-1 draw.

St Pauli took the the lead in the 25th with a stunning goal from Mathias Pereira Lage.

Jackson Irvine had a go after a free-kick but his shot was blocked. The ball then found Pereira Lage, who hit a spectacular volley from the edge of the box.

But the hosts hit back in the 52nd and Andrej Ilic got the equalizer heading the ball into the net after a corner.

St Pauli had a setback in stoppage time as captain Irvine was sent off after receiving a second yellow card for a late challenge.

"It's a partial success that we're happy to take. Before the match, we would naturally have liked more, but that certainly applies to both sides," Union coach Steffen Baumgart.

Union are 10th in the standings, while St Pauli are the first team in the relegation zone, followed by VfL Wolfsburg and Heidenheim.

"It was the gruelling battle we had expected. Satisfied isn't quite the right word, but we'll take the point. It'll definitely help us," St Pauli coach Alexander Blessin said.

On Saturday, Tom Bischof scored two late goals and Lennart Karl added a third deep into stoppage time to lead champions Bayern Munich to a breathtaking 3-2 win at Freiburg.

Borussia Dortmund also needed two late goals to secure a 2-0 victory at VfB Stuttgart.
