'A little nervous' - Müller prepares for World Cup TV pundit role

Germany's 2014 World Cup winner Thomas Müller has admitted to trepidation as he prepares to make his major tournament bow as a television pundit.
The 36-year-old, who retired from international duty after Euro 2024, is still playing for Vancouver Whitecaps in the MLS and will be on duty for MagentaTV during June and July's World Cup in North America.
"I am curious and a little nervous over how it will go," he told reporters on Monday at the unveiling of MagentaTV's World Cup team.
He will be joined as a pundit on the channel by his fellow 2014 World Cup winner Mats Hummels, Olympic champion Tabea Kemme and former Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool coach Jürgen Klopp.
The pay channel, owned by Deutsche Telekom, will show 44 games exclusively in Germany and all 60 others also live. It has sublicensed those games to state broadcasters ARD and ZDF.
By German law, Germany matches as well as the opening game, the semi-finals and final have to be on free-to-air TV.
