Alpinje skier Anna-Lena Forster claimed her and Germany's second gold medal at the Milan/Cortina Winter Paralympics on Thursday.
Forster, 30, added giant slalom gold to that from the downhill from earlier in the Games for a career total of six golds from four Games.
"I am so satisfied. I could do what I had intended to do. I am so happy and even proud. I knew I had to give it my all," Forster said.
Forster said that a new suspension on her monoski has helped her improve in giant slalom.
It also helped her cause that her biggest rival, super-g and super combined winner Audrey Pascual Seco of Spain, fell.
Forster said she saw the incident on TV in the start house and added that "you don't really know how the piste reacts. It looked a bit out of control with Audrey."
