US lingerie brand Victoria's Secret is set to open its first shop in Germany later this year as it seeks to gain a foothold in the country, the company and its local franchise partner PTH Group said in a statement on Friday.
The first high-street Victoria's Secret branch will be located on Hamburg's Mönckebergstraße, the northern city's main shopping street, with two further shops to be set up in Germany by the end of 2026.
So far, Victoria's Secret only runs two small outlets in the duty-free areas at Hamburg and Dusseldorf airport.
Founded in Ohio in 1977, Victoria's Secret has since become one of the most popular brands for lingerie and nightwear worldwide and is known for its glamorous fashion shows where models are donned with angel wings.
Victoria's Secret operates some 1,380 shops in nearly 70 countries, according to the company.
