Reports: Dortmund midfielder Gross close to return to Brighton

Borussia Dortmund midfielder Pascal Gross is close to a return to his former club Brighton, broadcaster Sky said on Thursday.

According to the report, Gross has already reached an agreement with the Premier League club. The transfer fee could cost up to €3 million ($3.52 million). The 34-year-old still has a contract with Dortmund until June 30.

Gross has been a back-up option for Dortmund this season, starting only seven games in the Bundesliga and none in the Champions League.

Dortmund signed Gross from Brighton €7 million at the start of the 2024-25 season.
