German tourism sector set for another record year in 2025

German hotels are projected to see another record year in 2025, despite a slight decline in visitors from abroad, official figures showed on Thursday.

Hotels with more than 10 beds recorded a total of 433.5 million overnight stays by the end of October, an increase by 0.1% on the record figures seen in the same period last year, the federal statistical office said.

A total of 362 million stays were booked by domestic tourists, up by 0.6% from last year.

The number of guests from abroad dropped by 2.3% to 71.5 million overnight stays. However, bookings by both groups increased in October.
