Several buildings on fire in Villingen-Schwenningen, south Germany

Several buildings caught fire in the old town of Villingen-Schwenningen in the southern German state of Baden-Württemberg on Saturday.

A firefighter was injured and several people suffered smoke inhalation, according to a spokesperson for the Constance police headquarters.

Adjacent buildings are being cooled by the fire brigade, making it unlikely that the fire will spread. The police spokesman was unable to provide any information about the possible cause of the fire.
